The San Joaquin Treads S.C. is thrilled to host their 2nd Annual BAKO de los MUERTOS ride!

Here’s the plan:

Start Time:
We’ll meet at Cafe Smitten around 9 AM. Grab some breakfast if you’d like!

Location:
(909 18th St, Bakersfield, CA)

The Ride:
We’ll hit the road just after 10 AM for a breathtaking canyon ride over the Greenhorn Mountains, heading to the famous Kern River Brewing Co. for lunch.

Lunch destination:
(13415 Sierra Way, Kernville, CA)

After lunch, we’ll cruise past Lake Isabella and zip down the Kern River Canyon, making our way back to Downtown Bakersfield, ending up at Tiki-Ko!
(1919 K St, Bakersfield, CA)

A taco cart will provide complementary food outside. Tiki drinks will be available inside!

This will be a 100+ mile ride, so gear up and get ready!
We’ll fuel up at the edge of town and again in Kernville before heading back.

Truck parking will be available either at the meetup spot or the end location—just a few blocks apart.

Worshiping the Beast

The event "Worshipping the Beast" is a vintage scooter rally hosted by the Burgundy Topz Scooter Club in Sacramento, CA. 

Here is what you need to know about the event:

  • The "Beast": The "beast" refers to any manual-shift, metal scooter that is 35 years or older. This can include popular brands like Vespa and Lambretta, as well as more unique vintage bikes like Zundapp Bellas, Heinkel Tourists, and Fuji Rabbits.

SCHEDULE

10/17/25 Friday

Meet and greet 6:30pm at a local bar. Ride leaves at 8:00pm for a short night ride, ending at another bar.

10/18/25 Saturday

Meet at Barber's Auto shop 614 16th St. 10am - fueled up w/donuts and coffee (fill your scooter up with gas before the ride leaves). Ride leaves at 11:00am.

Delta ride lunch at Al the Wops 13943 Main St, Walnut Grove.

Ride back to Sac - possible short dinner stop at local taqueria.

Evening festivities at Brownies Bar 5858 S Land Park Dr. with DJ’s.

10/19/25 Sunday 

Meet at 10:00am at  5 Sips Coffee 2104 11th Ave & ride for an hour/ish. End at Barbers Auto shop 614 16th St. for their open house with spaghetti sauce competition. Check out the vintage Alfas and other cars.

Hello sleep away campers!

Join us Oct 3rd - 5th in beautiful Brooksville FL, for our annual scooter rally on the Florida Sands Music Ranch.

​What to expect:

Starts on Friday, come on out to kick this weekend off. Early evening ride out around Brooksville. When we get back, dinner on us. Enjoy music and hang out with other rally goers.
Saturday AM breakfast served.
Saturday we have scenic ride to lunch, then back to camp. Music, fun and games. You know we love games! An easy going gymkhana! Scooter Mercato is taking care of dinner. Awards, raffle, and music.
Sunday AM breakfast is served. Then say goodbye!

Pre registration will open this summer. Stay tuned for theme announcements.

$40 fee covers your Rally bag- stuffed with goodies, T-shirt -Men's or a Ladies' tank top, tent camping fees, Friday night food (until supplies last), Sat and Sun light breakfast, and Saturday night meal - provided by Scooter Mercato. Registration generally opens in April/May.

If you have an RV or camper and don't plan to tent it - call the Florida Sand Music Ranch directly at 352 754 3082 to reserve and pay the additional fees.

DMen Tap (2849 West Belmont, Chicago), featuring Rust Belt Boss Reggae and F.C.S. Soundsystem DJ’ing classic reggae, ska, rocksteady, soul, and more. DMen offers fantastic Doner Kebab, Currywurst, Malört Ice Cream, and much more.

“Hala Boi” ride departs
DMen Tap (2849 West Belmont, Chicago) for Hala Kahiki (2934 River Road, River Grove). H-K is Chicago’s original tiki bar, dating back to 1964. For years the Slaughterhouse organizers have gathered here to wind down after the rally, this year since it’s so close to the hotel, we’re inviting everyone along!

The American Scooter Racing Association (ASRA) is finally holding its long-awaited Reunion here in Bako, and to kick things off, The San Joaquin Treads S.C. are thrilled to host our First Annual BAKO de los MUERTOS ride!
